Midnight, Me and the Blues

I Want To Walk You Home by Fats Domino

The Fat Man...you can tell when I'm in a good mood...although if I think about it I have no reason to be...but I am...I'm cool...just made a run through the country and came home flush...so "let the good times roll"...how you kids doin' tonight?...Tight shoe night...Friday night...remember when Friday night meant something?...I sure do...yeah...Millbottom bound...there was 5 bars in a two block part of town...down by the railroad tracks...and it was a jumpin' place to say the least...loud music..slick dance floor and ....had the world by the ass on a down hill pull...yeah...those were the days...now it's listenin' to grandkids scream for the last hour while I try to find something to calm my freakin' nerves...but I made it...now...I'm gonna pour me a BIG glass of wine...throw the hearin' aide out the window and hope everyone goes to sleep soon...I gotta make a post at Crackers after this quiets down...lol...well ...babydoll...I know you are a busy man...so I will entertain myself til you come round.....  How many Christians does it take to change a light bulb?

Charismatic: Only 1
Hands are already in the air.

Pentecostal : 10
One to change the bulb, and nine to pray against the spirit of darkness.

Presbyterians : None
Lights will go on and off at predestined times.

Roman Catholic: None
Candles only.

Baptists : At least 15.
One to change the light bulb, and three committees to approve the change and decide who brings the potato salad and fried chicken.

Episcopalians: 3
One to call the electrician, one to mix the drinks and one to talk about how much better the old one was.

Mormons : 5
One man to change the bulb, and four wives to tell him how to do it.

Unitarians:
We choose not to make a statement either in favor of or against the need for a light bulb. However, if in your own journey you have found that light bulbs work for you,
you are invited to write a poem or compose a modern dance about your light bulb for the next Sunday service, in which we will explore a number of light bulb traditions, including incandescent, fluorescent, 3-way, long-life and tinted, all of which are equally valid paths to luminescence.

Methodists: Undetermined
Whether your light is bright, dull, or completely out, you are loved. You can be a light bulb, turnip bulb, or tulip bulb. Bring a bulb of your choice to the Sunday lighting
service and a covered dish to pass.

Nazarene : 6
One woman to replace the bulb while five men review church lighting policy.

Lutherans: None
Lutherans don't believe in change.

Amish:
What's a light bulb?

Libra
September 22 - October 22
Try not to think too much about what is "supposed" to happen next, dear Libra. The truth of the matter is that things don't necessarily work out the way they are planned, so don't count on something that has no guarantee of ever coming to fruition. Stick to your own way of doing things and try not to get too hung up on the results. The key now is to enjoy the process.

I don't usually put much stock in this stuff...read it for pleasure more than think it is true...but I have been watchin' mine lately....and it's closer than I care to admit...so with one eye on it...I'll tread easy..

had a good day...or at least a productive day ...that's always a plus...went and picked up a load of walnuts...Carrie"s (ex-dil) dad let us use a neat contraption that he had..it's a cage ,round, on the end of a stick and you roll it around over the walnuts and it picks them up in the cage...when the cage is full...you empty it out in the bucket...I'd like to hug the ole boy that thought that one up....years of breakin' my back and now all I got to do is roll a basket around on the ground... ...tomorrow is Friday and it is my day off...have to leave here early..when you live with your grandkids there is no such animal as a "day off"...if you want free time you have to leave the house....I been singing Patsy Cline all day..."she's got you"...so I'm ready for a good drunk ...but will pass it up...I know thats not what I want either.....but later...when she gets in from work...I'm gonna see how tight I can wind it before I pass out or can't stand the weight of the blues any more...sometimes it gets heavy...so...until later gaters...love ya Cracker
