Midnight, Me and the Blues by Cracker

Sorry about that you guys...guess you just have to ride the roller coaster with me...but its a new day and a new deal...thank God!...almost didn't go to the trctor show but my ex called me this morning and told me to go...get out of the house...so...that's what I did..lol...I saw all the damn trctors in Giles county...I love the steam engines...they are so cool...to me they look like something from the circus...the paint jobs are awesome...but my BEST favorite is the big ole boys..the ones you stand in to run...I would love to drive one of them...I have walked my dogs off...now this was a big place....most smart ones were drivin' four wheelers and golf carts...it was so much fun...I was like an orphan at a picnic...speakin of food...man o man...all kinds of it...I got a bowl of ham and beans...BIG bowl..for two bucks and it was well worth the money...sat down on the ground to eat and some boy about 16 or 17 sat down by me and we started talkin'...he was a big doll...talked about some draft horses his daddy had that they were gonna show...it was nice...got to go through an old farm house and see what it was like 50 years ago...almost laughed...hell it ain't been near that long for me...I almost bought an old iron...why I didn't I still don't know....there were quilts ...lots of stuff...just like a fair...they had a parade...I got to see that...and a tractor pullin contest...but I thought "shit...my truck can do that"...so I wasn't much impressed with that...they had a couple of blacksmiths...I liked to watch that...so I watched one ole boy turn out a real neat stove poker...he already had a little shovel built..and an ole boy standin there bought it...way cool...they had corn grinders where you could get your meal ground and of cousre wheat grinder fixin you up with flour...they had home-made root beer...strongest drink on the place, I might sdd...they had made the neatest thing...took plastic barrels and cut them sideways and made little cars out of them...hooked a bunch together and they spent all day haulin little kids all over the area...also...when you finally wear your feet down to the nub...they have these long benchs on a flat bed and they haul you all around the show...you just ride along..I found this after I was to pooped to pop....by this time...Jimmy called...he was headin that way...so after awhile he finally showed up and I got to walk the whole thing over again...but I saw enough to last me...I couldn't hang for another day...I saw it all two or three times today...and as far as the grandpa's go...yeah...they are still out there...and a duchman's mix it was...lots of bib overhauls...I knew it would be a good day ..cause when I first hit the top of the ridge and there stood this guy...with a banjo...he had on a railroaders bibs and shirt..had a lantern hangin on his side...so I walk up to him and ask him what he was gonna do with that banjo ...he played me a song...I laughed...I had an awesome day....
