I was just talkin' to Reg on the phone and something went through my mind I hadn't thought about in a good long while...I was born and raised in a small town...the capitol of Missouri...my grandma was a country woman...but my real experience with "country" life was after I married my second husband...he was country born and bred..nothin' city about the boy....well one time after we had moved to the valley he brought home two little pigs in the trunk of his car...they were so cute...I decieded they needed a bath...for some reason in my mind..pigs liked baths...so I filled the tub with water and dropped that pig in it...man...you ain't lived til you get a pig in a bathtub full of water... ...once they are wet..they are slick and then they can climb walls with those mean little feet and they are workin for higher ground..lol...they'll walk all over you tryin to get out...what a ride that was...never try this unless you are real bored and want to test your reflexes...I named them Hammy and Tammy...

I'm gettin' ready to hop off here...Jen if you read this "e" me...hope your trip to Vegas wasa good one...lucky pup..anyway..I FINALLY made contact with Michele ...we gabbed for at least an hour...good visit..I'll drive down Sunday and see them...it's Nike's birthday...talked to Butch...I cannot believe what he did...he got me a credit card...now that says something to me...been divorced for 25 years and he gets me a credit card...how cool is that?..I about fell over when he told me...I pick him up in Kansas City on the 10th...rent a car and head to Wisconsin..that's the plan...then get him back to Kansas City so he can be back on a plane the 20th..gonna have a lay over in Vegas and he really likes that..so I need to get it all worked out...how to get to the city..etc.,etc., etc....but it will work out..I had hoped to get him into St Louis and it would have been a shorter drive for me...I will turn the car back in at Jeff...drop him at the station and hit the road a runnin'...anyway...thats the plan so far...I got alot done today..have a big day tomorrow and right on through for the next few days..maybe longer..I'll try to stay in contact as best I can...I'll call ..and post...thats as much as I can do..I'm tired and I know all of you are tired tonight to...come on and lay down by Momma and we'll take a nap...I remember all of you in the bed and I would worm my way in...six little kids for a comfort...nobody thought we could rest like that..but we never had any trouble sleepin'...I love you all...Momma will chat at ya later...good night my darlin's

they got their face painted at the Mountain Man thing..it was Biker's Fest at the Lake this week-end too and man...ya shoulda seeen all that...


this is the part I like...throwin' the hatcets..I would have liked to try my hand at it...the flute player was not playin the flute today...so I didn't get a picture of that...



this is the Osage River where I live...I was born and raised on the Missouri...so the river has a special pull on me...I never see it that the gypsy in my soul doesn't whisper in my ear...it's always been my dream to get a house boat and float from the Osage to the Missouri and over to the Mississippi and then into the Tennessee....my dream...has been my dream for 25 years now...maybe someday...
